The holiday season is upon us and as I discussed in my blog post, The Connected Holiday Season, we expect that connected devices such as smart phones, tablets and e-readers will begin being unwrapped very shortly. While I am extremely eager to learn what devices will become “must-haves” this season, I am more anxiously anticipating what devices will launched during the first week of January 2011 at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
Further signifying the opportunity for the connected devices market, it has been announced that Ivan Seidenberg of Verizon will be the keynote this year discussing his vision for LTE 4G wireless technology. We believe the emergence of the 4G network will truly benefit the connected devices, M2M and applications markets by providing higher data speeds with lower latencies.
The team at Synchronoss will be headed out to CES in full effect! On January 6th we will be sponsoring the Fierce Wireless Executive Breakfast on embedded wireless devices. Also on January 6th, we will be hosting The Synchronoss Mobility Cocktail Party at Gold Lounge in The Aria Hotel from 7PM-10PM.
